Welcome to our blog and to the beginning of a new venture - Treasured Beginnings - that we hope will provide many new and expectant families with valuable information, resources and insights into pregnancy, birth, babies, breastfeeding and parenthood. Amelia and I met while studying to become lactation consultants and quickly found ourselves friends, in one of those relationships that doesn't take much effort, just sort of clicking - understanding and trusting one another without any pretext. About midway through our lactation program, we decided to go into business together, combining our varied experiences, education and certifications, to be able to offer wide array of services to pregnant women/couples and new mothers/families. After a good few months of planning and preparing, we're ready to launch Treasured Beginnings. We hope you'll find this information valuable and look forward to many comments along the way.
